Work to Ride
Program
The work
to ride program is set to benefit every one involved it benefits the barn and it helps the interested rider. The program works like this. After you’ve signed up
you’ll be scheduled in according to your availability, all the chores you do are set to points after you earned the
required amount of points you will be awarded a free lesson that would be equal to the amount of money you would have made
if were being paid for your time at a rate that is set per job.
Keep in
mind that the hours worked for the work to ride program are not to be applied to high school volunteer hours, there are other

The points
are set up as follows:
Morning
feed and turnout
250pt
Stalls
50pt each
Night feed
250pt
Hay, water
inside /outside
100pt
Cleaning
lobby, viewing room
75pt
Miscellaneous
duties
set per task
Total points
required for 1.5 hour lesson 1000 pt
Total points
for a 1 hour lesson, riding only 900 pt
If you let
your points accumulate you may eventually redeem them for a part lease or part board
All the
work you do must be documented, checked by Amanda, and given points awarded for the job quality.
There will
be a schedule kept in the office for this program.
